How to report content and what happens when you do
Urgent: Illegal Content
If you encounter child sexual abuse material (CSAM), terrorism content, or content depicting imminent violence, please report it immediately. These reports are prioritised and reviewed within 24-48 hours.
For CSAM specifically, you can also report directly to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) or CEOP.
How to Report Content
Report Button (Logged-in Users)
If you have a ChiliChecker account, you can report content directly using the report buttons throughout the platform:
- Report a Review: Click the flag icon on any review to report it
- Report a Creator Profile: Use the "Report" button on the creator's profile page
You will be asked to select a reason and provide additional details to help us investigate.
Email (All Users)
Anyone can report content by emailing us directly. You do not need an account to submit a report.

Please include:
- URL or description of the content you are reporting
- Type of issue (illegal content, harassment, spam, etc.)
- Any additional context that would help our review
What You Can Report
You can report any content that you believe violates our policies or the law, including:
Illegal Content
- Child sexual abuse material
- Terrorism content
- Non-consensual intimate images
- Content facilitating crime
Harassment & Abuse
- Targeted harassment
- Threats or intimidation
- Hate speech
- Doxxing (sharing private info)
Misinformation & Fraud
- False or misleading reviews
- Impersonation
- Scams or fraud
- Defamatory content
Other Violations
- Spam or promotional content
- Copyright infringement
- Privacy violations
- Any other policy violation
What Happens After You Report
Acknowledgement
We acknowledge receipt of your report (for email reports, you'll receive a confirmation).
Review
Our moderation team reviews the reported content against our policies and applicable law.
Action
If the content violates our policies, we take appropriate action (warning, removal, suspension, or ban).
Notification
Where appropriate, we notify relevant parties of our decision (while protecting reporter anonymity).
Response Times
We aim to respond to reports within the following timeframes:
- Illegal content (CSAM, terrorism, etc.): 24-48 hours
- Harassment and threats: 5 working days
- Other policy violations: 5 working days
Complaints & Appeals
Appeal a Moderation Decision
If your content was removed or your account was actioned and you believe this was an error, you can appeal:
- Email [email protected] with "APPEAL" in the subject line
- Include details of the content or action you are appealing
- Explain why you believe the decision was incorrect
- Submit within 14 days of the moderation action
Appeals are reviewed by a different moderator than the original decision. You will receive a response within 5 working days.
General Complaints
If you have a complaint about ChiliChecker's services, moderation practices, or any other matter:
- Email [email protected] with "COMPLAINT" in the subject line
- Describe your complaint clearly and include any relevant details
- We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within 5 working days
Your Rights
Under the UK Online Safety Act, you have the right to:
- Report content that you believe is illegal or violates our policies
- Receive a response to your report within a reasonable timeframe
- Appeal moderation decisions that affect your content or account
- Be informed about the outcome of your complaint
- Have your reports treated confidentially
